Terms and conditions.


REFUNDS

Given the custom nature of our products and the fact that most are made in consultation with the client/purchaser most products do not qualify for a refund.

Our warranty covers any issues that may arise after delivery and installation.

For eligible items, our refund and returns policy covers 14 days.

If 14 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.


Items eligible for return and/or refund are limited to those purchased online, and have arrived damaged or not as described.


We do not offer change of mind refunds.



DEPOSITS

For all custom projects we ask for a deposit. This is typically 1/3 of quoted total, but may vary depending on the nature of the project.

Deposits are not refundable once the project has commenced.

Time frames for project completion start from the receipt of the deposit.


Payment of the remainder of the total cost of the project is due within 7 days of delivery.

Goods remain the property of Metal Wood and Things until full payment is received.



WARRANTY

All our products come with a minimum 12 months warranty – from date of installation.

This warranty covers the surface finishes as well as materials and workmanship.

Some items will have a longer warranty on some or all components.

This will be noted on consultation.

This warranty is offered to the original purchaser only – it is not transferable.


Abuse, misuse, inappropriate exposure to elements, and other things outside the scope of the items intended use are not covered by our warranty.

For example, the use of a sharp knife/implement on a serving board will damage the surface and this is NOT covered.

Damage caused by the use of chemicals or abrasive products is not covered.

Unsealed surfaces and pieces, at the request of clients carry a limited warranty. Any surface damage, including but not limited to, water damage, timber movement, spills etc. is the responsibility of the client (timber needs to be correctly sealed).


Items with epoxy or resin content are not covered against the yellowing of the epoxy or resin. Whilst high quality products are used and they do contain UV inhibitors, exposure to sunlight will over time cause yellowing. This is the same for some polyurethanes, and other surface finishes.


Any flaws in the product, as well as any issues with the finished design, must be registered within 24 hours of the product being received.


Postage and shipping costs associated with repairs or replacement are at the owners expense.


To request warranty service, you will need to send an email to info@mwat.com.au with the following information:

The Invoice number and date of purchase.

A description of the problem including relevant pictures.



Care Recommendations.

Clean surfaces by wiping with a damp, soft cloth.

Use a good quality furniture polish.

Avoid abrasive cleaners.

Do not use solvents to clean.

Use coasters for warm/hot drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Avoid direct sunlight for items containing epoxy resin.
