Hall Table

It’s been a few months since I started this hall table.

I started with a self imposed brief of ‘no metal in construction & timber I already have’.

So the only metal is the drawer runners and screws to hold them in.

All Mountain Gum except for some pieces of Jarrah as a feature.

Purple epoxy river with double waterfall edges actually flows a lot better than I had thought it would.

Instead of using a table saw for the mitre joins in the waterfall I used the CNC to cut them. This meant the usual loses due to blade thickness were all but eliminated and so the grain flows over the edge cleanly.

Finished in Odies Oil - my first time using that product but I’m going to say I like it.
